External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar met his Saudi counterpart Faisal bin Farhan on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference in Germany yesterday. They discussed connectivity, the West Asia situation, and India-Saudi Arabia strategic partnership.
He also interacted with Norway Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide. Dr. Jaishankar spoke about the imperative of reformed multilateralism and a more equitable world order.
The External Affairs Minister also had a conversation with German federal parliament opposition leader Friedrich Merz and his Christian Democratic Union CDU foreign policy team. Dr. Jaishankar recognised his strong support for deeper India-Germany and India-EU relations.
He also met former US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, German Foreign and Security Policy Advisor Jens Plötner, and CEO of Atlantic Council Fred Kempe.
